Brief:
Develop a new concept for the Red Bull head office in collaboration with Johnson Chou, who was responsible for the overall architecture.
Concept:
We developed the concept for several interactive and conceptual spaces throughout the Red Bull head office. The spaces were designed to fulfill two purposes. The first aim was to create icons that would establish the space as a Toronto landmark. The second goal was to stimulate interaction among employees and visitors. For example, a "tunnel of acceleration" that can be seen from the street (icon) could connect the outside world with the inside spaces. Meanwhile, an i-Pod lounge and some low-tech interactive walls could encourage staff and guests to get creative (icon/interaction).
Result:
Red Bull management accepted the proposed concepts with excitement and enthusiasm. However, a disagreement with their property manager prevented the ideas from coming to fruition. |
